NextWave Network
Catch the Next Wave: Empowering Careers, Mentoring Future Leaders.
Our Mission
The NextWave Network connects higher education students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals with experienced mentors to foster career development, leadership growth, and professional networking. Through one-on-one mentorship, workshops, and community-building events, we equip mentees with the skills and resources they need to thrive in their careers. At the same time, our mentors refine their leadership abilities and contribute to the development of future professionals.
By cultivating strong, lasting relationships, we create a collaborative environment that encourages mutual growth and knowledge exchange. Our goal is to build a supportive, diverse network that empowers individuals to succeed and make a lasting impact in their careers. Together, we’re shaping the future of professional development.

Our application will go live on this webpage on June 1, 2025. You can apply to be a mentor or mentee through our recruitment process, which includes an application form and a brief screening call to ensure a good fit for the program.
-
We will match mentors with mentees based on shared career interests, goals, and personal preferences to ensure a meaningful and impactful relationship.
-
As a mentee, you’ll gain valuable career insights, resume-building advice, interview tips, and networking strategies from experienced professionals in your field. You’ll also receive personalized guidance to help you transition from school to the workforce.
-
We are looking for early-career professionals or recent graduates with at least one year of professional experience who are passionate about supporting the growth and development of students and recent graduates.
-
Mentors and mentees are expected to dedicate about 2 - 4 hours per month to meet with their mentor / mentee, either bi-weekly or monthly, along with time to attend virtual events and workshops.
-
While workshops and events are optional, they are highly encouraged for your professional development. If you cannot attend, we’ll provide resources and materials from the sessions to ensure you don’t miss out on valuable content.

The first cohort of the NextWave Network will launch in the Fall of 2025. The program will run for one year, with structured phases including mentor-mentee pairing, regular check-ins, virtual events, and workshops.
